Another week, another street style roundup. This time, for London. Naturally, being the culture I’ve grown up in, I always relate most to the London fashion scene. It’s no different for fashion week even though the outfits are ranked up a notch, lets say boujee. Sometimes I do look at them and think, what ever happened to a good jogger and 5 year old jumper moment? But I put my high fashion hat on and suddenly I’m all about the fur coats and snake print pants.
We all know I love a suit moment but admittedly it’s hard to nail the balance between the stylish off-duty model look and middle aged woman in an office job. Back when the trend first started hitting the streets, I created a post showcasing my favourite ways to wear the classic two piece which you can read here.
Styling an oversized blazer as a dress seems to live on forever. It’s becoming a timeless look which my love only grows for. Paired with a burgundy crossbody and thigh high boots and I’ve fallen head over heels in love with the whole look.
Alexa Chung is obviously a fashion icon for this generation so it’s a given that everything she wears is incredible. I guarantee she could make my year 7 ‘GEEK’ top look fashion week-worthy. This duster/trench hybrid is a beauty but put together with baby pink, oh my god!
Wow, I didn’t expect to love this style as much as I do. Midi skirts were NEVER something I sought out on the highstreet shelves but in the past two weeks, they’re all I can think about. Leopard print, dark wash denim, black silk..I need them all!
Instagram has a plethora of the knit wear and midi skirt combos at the moment, I’m desperate to style my own version. Also oversized shirts and jumpers seem to be making a comeback, say goodbye to body-con! Tying them over the skirt instead of tucking it in looks so cool, I can’t lie.
Short and snappy for today but Milan and Paris are still to come, which is your favourite city to hold fashion week?
